    When I started my first sprite shop in a spriting community, nobody wanted any. I made mah backgrounds transparent, and people flocked in. Experienced Spriters always use transparancy.

    FINALLY! Someone who realises that a sprite is based on quality not the "awesomeness" of the recolor. Recolors are the most basic sprites, and are worthless crap.
