Hee hee hee, now this is my kind of topic. Well to start with, I personally feel that Sonic and Amy kind of have a love-hate relationship, where Amy loves and SOMETIMES Sonic hates. But that's merely because of the way she clings to him. I feel that if Sonic were to give her a bit more attention rather than shunning her, she'd be satisfied. Now the reasons why Amy would be good for Sonic.

1: Amy has a kind and tender heart, she'd do just about anything to make him happy and she loves him for him and not his hero status. In many ways, Sonic and Amy are very alike, they almost mirror each other really. They never give up in whatever they're doing, and they'll do anything to help their friends.

2: Amy would respect Sonic's need for freedom. Of course, if he'd stop running away and just tell her that, she'd be able to take it a little easier. But instead she has to try the only thing she can think if which is to keep chasing, so that's Sonic's fault. <_<

3: Amy is a decent fighter when put to the test. Her mighty mallet can bash the competition away without a sweat! xD

Give me a reason that Sonic COULD POSSIBLY like Amy.

Well if you recall in Sonic Adventure 2, Eggman captured Amy and threatened to kill her. Many times Eggman referred to Amy as Sonic's girlfriend. Even if only just to tick him off, Sonic didn't object or retaliate.

Sonic Riders Zero Gravity: Sonic sticks up for Amy numerous times throughout the story, even protecting her from verbal onslaught.

Sonic Unleashed: Sonic shows disappointment and sadness when Amy doesn't recognize him in his werehog form, which makes him walk away with his head hung low.

SatSR: The special book in the game describes Amy as "Sonic's ever cheerful love interest".

Wow... Right Off The Bat Your Kinda Hard To Talk To... This Sucks But I'll Think Of Something!!! (I Think)

I think Sonic loves Amy, but he doesn't show it, so he runs away from her.
